Servings: 2 persone
- 4 nr large potatoes preferably yellow flesh
- 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
- q.b. Salt
- q.b. Black pepper
- q.b. Paprika optional
- q.b. Fresh rosemary optional
Start by washing and peeling the potatoes. Cut them into sticks about 1 cm thick
Place the potato sticks in a bowl with cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This step is crucial to remove excess starch and get crispier fries.
After soaking, drain the potatoes and dry them with a clean cloth or paper towels. It’s important they are well dried for optimal cooking.
In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optionally paprika and rosemary. Ensure each stick is well coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Once hot, arrange the fries in the basket in a single layer, avoiding overlapping.
Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even browning.
When the fries are golden and crispy, remove from the fryer and serve hot, maybe sprinkled with extra salt or a dip of your choice.
