Ferrara Food Festival returns in November

The Ferrara Food Festival of Ferrara will take place between Piazza Trento e Trieste, Piazza Castello, Piazza Municipale, thus involving the entire city center in celebrating the gastronomic excellences of the Territory through a format that will guarantee authority and success to a program capable of attracting both all lovers of good food and national and international professionals.

The Association Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori della Provincia di Ferrara has chosen the company SGP Grandi Eventi as the organizing entity, by virtue of the extensive experience gained by the latter in the field of organizing established territorial marketing events focused on food

The event aims to involve as many sector realities as possible – from trade associations to companies themselves, from protection consortia to cooperatives – with the intent to create new opportunities for promotion, enhancement, and growth for the entire productive fabric of the territory. Another focus will be on gastronomic excellences from all over Italy and the most representative products of the various regions of the peninsula, which will find a dedicated exhibition space in a special location in the historic center, thus further enriching the festival’s gastronomic, tasting, and commercial offer.

Ferrara Food Festival is also characterized by the level of involvement and appeal assured by the very rich program of free events: gastronomic challenges, Show Cooking, cultural meetings, tastings, events, and workshops for both adults and children dedicated to all typical products of Ferrara and all the excellences of the Territory bearing the IGP, DOP, DOC mark.

There will be no shortage of highly spectacular appointments such as the historical reenactment, which will see the central streets animated by a procession of numerous costumed figures, accompanied by flag-waver shows and fire games, as well as itinerant shows and numerous live entertainment events.

For lovers of gastronomic excellences, during the three days dedicated to Ferrara’s typical products, visitors will be able to taste classic, refined, but also unexpected and extravagant combinations, in a modern reinterpretation of traditional recipes.

You will also find round tables and cultural appointments; the “Diamante Estense” prize will be awarded to a personality from the world of culture, sports, journalism, or entertainment who has particularly distinguished themselves in their field and has contributed to promoting the image of Ferrara at both national and international levels.

The President of the Association Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori della Provincia di Ferrara, Massimiliano Urbinati, summarizes the event and the unique context in which it is placed as follows: “The Ferrara Food Festival will be the first major event to celebrate the recovery of Ferrara and its food and wine sector, for a true rebirth that acts as a development driving force for the entire territory.”
