All this and more is found in the 2021 edition, the 29th, of Cantine Aperte, the cult event of the Movimento Turismo del Vino that Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, but also on June 19 and 20, opens its doors in 14 Italian regions (Abruzzo, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Piedmont, Lombardy, Sardinia, Tuscany, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Apulia, and Sicily), opening over 280 wineries to wine enthusiasts of all ages.

Open Vineyards in Umbria and Marche

A first edition, that of Vigneti Aperti, which will initially see Umbria and Marche (at the forefront, but which will continue to update until November regarding participation from other Italian regions). All this under the banner of the national theme#Winecation, chosen specifically to recall the trend of “staycation” and thus local vacations to discover or rediscover the charm of the closest wine-growing territories through special initiatives designed to experience all stages of vineyard work firsthand. In Umbria, for example, on weekends in May and June, 19 wineries host trekking and picnics among the vineyards, courses for apprentice winemakers, outdoor wine tastings paired with local typical products, horseback rides through the vines, and suggestive terrace aperitifs. In the 15 participating wineries of the Marche there are tastings and open-air visits only by reservation.
