Anteprima VitignoItalia a Napoli

Preview VitignoItalia in Naples is one of the most anticipated industry events, especially after the long break imposed by the pandemic. But while the “mother” event VitignoItalia will be held on June 5-6-7, 2022, enthusiasts and industry operators will have the opportunity to enjoy a truly special Preview. The beautiful halls of the Hotel Excelsior (via Partenope, 48) will host an extraordinary tasting featuring over 80 companies from all over the Peninsula (an impressive 15 regions represented), offering more than 500 labels available for tasting. So mark in red on the calendar for many wine lovers connected to this unique event, Tuesday, November 30. Pay particular attention to the time slots as safety protocols require checks to ensure adequate security.

From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the event is reserved for the press and industry operators. For the public, there are two different segments: the first from 4:30 pm to 6:45 pm, the second from 7:00 pm until closing, scheduled for 9:30 pm.

Fifteen regions will mark the stops on this journey through the world of Italian wine. A path, glass in hand, across the most renowned terroirs, such as those of Piedmont and Tuscany, but not forgetting the strong contingent from Trentino Alto Adige and the most interesting wine realities from Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Abruzzo, Umbria, Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Liguria, Basilicata, Sicily, and Puglia. Naturally, Campania will dominate numerically with the presence of 40 producers from the various territories that make up the region.

But Anteprima VitignoItalia, following the tradition of recent years, will also feature important moments beyond the Excelsior tasting. The solid partnership with UniCredit is confirmed, with the 2021 edition hosting a stimulating meeting of various sector players. The Economics Forum will focus on “Wine and Tourism: turning potential into opportunities for territorial development.” A very timely topic, the forum will be held on the morning of Tuesday the 30th at 11:30 am in the Scarlatti Hall of the Hotel Vesuvio, via Partenope 45. Moderated by Leandro Sansone, Head of Territorial Development South UniCredit, the stage will host speakers including Nicola Caputo, Agriculture Assessor of the Campania Region; Annalisa Areni, UniCredit South Regional Manager; Bruna Caira, Director of the Strada del Vino Nobile Montepulciano and Flavors of the Valdichiana Senese; Giuseppe Festa, Director of the Wine Business Course at the University of Salerno and Scientific Coordinator of the Wine Tourism Observatory of the Città del Vino association. The centerpiece of the meeting will be the results of the research “Competitiveness and market scenarios for the wine supply chain according to the Nomisma-UniCredit Agri4index,” presented by Denis Pantini, Head of Agrifood at Wine Monitor Nomisma Spa.

The afternoon, starting at 5:00 pm, will feature 8 extraordinary Campanian wines representing the 2007 vintage. A special event created in collaboration with the Campania Region, dedicated to the memory of Lucio Mastroberardino, showcasing labels from Fontanavecchia, Galardi, Maffini, Mastroberardino, Montevetrano, Quintodecimo, Terredora, and Villa Matilde, presented by renowned journalist Luciano Pignataro, accompanied for the occasion by Tommaso Luongo, AIS Delegate for the Campania region.

On the occasion of the Taurasi 2007 crus launched by the Terredora company dedicated to Lucio Mastroberardino, who passed away in 2013, VitignoItalia, in collaboration with the Agriculture Department of the Campania Region and inspired by Luciano Pignataro, proposes this event to remember the late Irpinian enologist and offer a retrospective featuring some symbolic wineries of Campania.
