Restarts Trentinowinefest with The excellent vineyard… and it’s immediately Isera, scheduled for Sunday, October 11 at Isera, in Vallagarina, focused on the Marzemino, an extraordinary red wine that came to these lands over 500 years ago following the Venetian domination and became great thanks to an ideal environment and a subcontinental climate.
A special day to discover this enchanting “City of Wine” where the award ceremony of the homonymous competition which, unique in Italy, does not award the best wine but the best vineyard and, consequently, the farmer who cultivated it. To anticipate and accompany the event, All about Marzemino, events, initiatives and holiday proposals dedicated to this grape variety scheduled from October 1 to 11 throughout the provincial territory.
The following weekend the scepter passes to Müller Thurgau, a white grape variety symbolic of the Val di Cembra area where it manages to express itself at its best thanks to the altitude above 500 m a.s.l., the presence of porphyry soils that give sapidity and the strong thermal excursion. The occasion is the 33rd edition of the exhibition Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine, usually scheduled for the month of July. And so, in Trentofrom Thursday, October 15 to Saturday, October 17, Palazzo Roccabruna-Provincial Enoteca of Trentino will offer the opportunity to taste the over 50 labels competing for the 17th edition of the Müller Thurgau International Wine Competition.
Adding richness to the calendar is also DiVin October, the series of initiatives dedicated to autumn and seasonal food and wine excellences, scheduled in various locations along the Wine and Flavors Route of Trentino during every weekend of the month. Among the planned events is also Caneve en festa, set for Saturday, October 17: a walking dinner along the streets of the village of Cembra, among ancient cellars and porticos, discovering sparkling wines, wines, grappa, and local craft beers accompanied by concerts of all kinds of music.
At the end of the month, on Saturday, October 31, in the Valle dei Laghi, it’s time for the Reboro, a wine born from a collective project of the winemakers of the Valle dei Laghi that is based on a centuries-old tradition, with Reboro. Territory & Passion, which will offer moments of deepening and special pairings in the winery.
As Christmas approaches and coinciding with the event Trentodoc Bubbles over the City, operators and producers members of the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino network join forces for Happy Trentodoc. From November 19 to December 8, in fact, a series of bars and restaurants inthe city of Trento will be paired with as many labels of Trentodoc served alongside a tempting food offering made with 100% Trentino products.
Finally, to best celebrate Trentino grappa, the appointment is with the long Immaculate Conception holiday: from December 5 to 8 it actually returns The night of the lit stills a Santa Massenza di Vallelaghi, the village that boasts the highest concentration of family-run distilleries in Italy. An opportunity to tell the history and characteristics of this particular distillate obtained exclusively from pomace produced in Trentino, within the copper stills, according to a process regulated in every detail by the Trentino Grappa Protection Institute.
