On Sunday, May 17, Trentodoc in the City will be held at Villa Zarri in Castel Maggiore, an event dedicated to the Trentino metodo classico featuring 63 sparkling wine producers and more than 190 labels to taste, accompanied by masterclasses and the Trentodoc App to guide the experience.
The Trentino metodo classico will be the star in Bologna on Sunday, May 17, with the event Trentodoc in the City, hosted in the spaces of Villa Zarri in Castel Maggiore. Organized by the Trentodoc Institute in collaboration with AIS Emilia, the event aims to delve into the richness and expressive variety of mountain bubbles.
The event targets a broad audience including enthusiasts, sommeliers, horeca operators, and professionals in the wine & food sector. Attendees will be able to freely move among the tasting tables of 63 associated sparkling wine producers, with over 190 labels available for tasting, thus offering a complete overview of the different interpretations of Trentodoc.
Thematic Masterclasses and Dedicated App
The program includes three one-hour masterclasses, dedicated to representative themes of the denomination: zero dosage, production districts, and reserves. The guided tastings will be conducted by three Trentodoc Ambassadors, winners of the Best Sommelier of Italy AIS title: Ilaria Lorini (2025), Andrea Gualdoni (2024), and Cristian Maitan (2023).
To facilitate the tasting experience, the Trentodoc App will be available, a useful tool to navigate among the wineries, labels, and various tasting routes offered during the event.
Practical Information
The event will take place from 2 PM to 7 PM with paid entry for the public (€25) and free for AIS members, upon online registration on the AIS Emilia website. A €5 deposit is required for the tasting glass, refundable at the end of the event.
Masterclasses are reserved for those who have already purchased a ticket for the tasting tables, with an additional cost of €20 for each, and it will be possible to sign up for only one session.

Among the 63 participating sparkling wine producers are well-known names such as Abate Nero, Altemasi, Balter, Bellaveder, Borgo dei Posseri, Cantina Aldeno, Cantina d’Isera, Cantina di Riva, Cantina Michele Sartori, Cantina Rotaliana di Mezzolombardo, Cantina Sociale di Trento, Cembra cantina di montagna, Cesarini Sforza Spumanti, Conti Bossi Fedrigotti, De Vigili, Dolomis, Endrizzi, and many others.
Trentodoc in the City Bologna therefore represents an important opportunity to discover and deepen the unique characteristics of Trentino bubbles, enhancing the territory and the metodo classico that distinguish it.
