Focus of the edition Cheese 2021 is the animal kingdom and the variety of connections with human actions, from dairy breeds that ensure income to microbiodiversity, from bees to all the other pollinators essential for grazing livestock. Without them, in fact, the endless cheese biodiversity that we experience firsthand at Cheese would not exist, and it represents an important piece of human history.
Once again, therefore, cheeses are the perfect ambassadors of a forefront that has its roots in the solid and millenary relationship between humans, animals, and the environment.
Already remarkable today is the attention toward the event, both from the protagonists of Cheese and from the world of local catering and hospitality. The four-day event in September (from the 17th to the 20th) confirms itself as the perfect stage where shepherds, cheesemakers, cheese sellers, and affinators tell, through their products, production methods that center on the quality of raw materials, animal welfare, and landscape protection.
You find them in the large Cheese Market and among the stalls of the Slow Food Presidiums, but not only. The Great Cheese Hall and the Wine Shop where you can pair a good glass of wine with dozens of natural and raw milk cheeses are also unmissable. For those who want to rediscover the pleasure of always learning more, the Taste Workshops (in Bra and Pollenzo, a few kilometers from Bra, at the Wine Bank), with cheeses paired with breads, wines, and beers, and the educational paths by Slow Food designed for both adults and children are dedicated. While for those who want to end the day beautifully, nothing beats a Dinner Appointment, dinners hosted in the rooms of the fascinating Agenzia di Pollenzo, with chefs selected by Slow Food and their personal interpretation of the territory and biodiversity through all the forms of milk.
As always, the event is colored by regional interpretations offered by the Street Kitchens and by the original preparations expressed by the Food Trucks, all enriched by the selected breweries, an expression of the best Italian brewing experimentation. Also for 2021, the Cheese formula does not change: access to the event is free and will be managed safely.
