At the Almatò Restaurant in Rome (via Augusto Riboty, 20C), Prati neighborhood, a weekly appointment dedicated to the cuisines of the Italian regions, favorite summer destinations.
A tour of flavors touching those regions that have always been the most sought-after summer destinations in Italy, famous both for their natural and artistic beauties, as well as for the quality of their cuisines. This is the extra offer for the beautiful season, signed by Almatò, the young Roman venue located in the Prati district (via Augusto Riboty, 20C). A mini taste tour on a weekly basis – every Tuesday at dinner – which will have, on the next July 14, as its first and very delicious stop Sicily. But certainly not less will be the following appointments with the culinary traditions of Campania, Puglia e Liguria.
The talented chef Tommaso Venuti – who boasts, among others, experience in the kitchens of Heinz Beck e Antonino Cannavacciuolo – will have the task of reinterpreting in his own way some masterpieces of Sicilian cuisine such as Pasta con le Sarde, the iconic Cannolo, Polpo alla Luciana, Ziti spezzati alla Nerano, Riso con le Cozze, Corsetti with Pesto, Potatoes and Green Beans, and Cappon Magro. Of course, there will be the opportunity to try interesting food-wine pairings proposed by sommelier Riccardo Robbio, young but already established in the art of restaurant hospitality.
Each menu, composed of four courses, will cost €35 (drinks excluded); €50 opting for the wine pairing with labels selected precisely by Robbio. But customers will be able to opt for their own pairing journey, choosing among the labels available on the venue’s wine list.
“After the period of forced closure – emphasize Alberto Martelli, Manfredi Custureri and Tommaso Venuti, the three very young partners of Almatò – it seemed nice to us to offer our customers, who will spend the first part of the summer in Rome, the opportunity to virtually travel through some of the most delicious tables of the Peninsula. On all other days, exclusively at dinner, our equally tasty summer menu will be available. Of course, we want to point out that since we reopened the doors of Almatò, we always operate in full compliance with current regulations, placing the utmost care and attention during every phase of the work.”
