In Naples, a piazza Mercato, one of the most popular and iconic places, is the location of the pizzeria run by the Tutino brothers: BRO. In the square of Masaniello’s revolt, well known to the people of Naples, the BRO pizzeria presents itself as a contemporary space designed down to the smallest detail to provide a pizza experience combining aesthetics and substance.
BRO pizzeria was opened by the will of two young brothers who created a new design address in a historic square of Naples. If you plan to visit Naples, and discover the city of Naples, we suggest the FullTravel.it guide, which gathers points of interest.
The interiors of BRO pizzeria
The interior design, signed by architect Maurizio Vesce, stands out for the choice of materials, finishes, and color palette: Calacatta oro marble, brass, wood paneling, crystal walls, textured paints, resin, and wallpaper depicting warm foliage characterize the space decisively.
The venue is created from a single volume in the center of the square, spread over two levels, totaling 160 square meters of surface: two pizza ovens, a visible dough chamber overlooking the dining room, and 60 seats in total.

BRO pizzeria: origin
BRO pizzeria is a project that looks far ahead, young but backed by a solid wealth of experience. Sons of Michele Tutino, Ciro e Antonio, born respectively in 1992 and 1998, they represent the fifth generation of a historic family of Neapolitan pizzaiolos.
Grandfather Ciro, with his brother Giuseppe, has been making pizzas since 1960 at Porta Nolana, the genuine heart of the most popular Naples. Father Michele, manages the Tutino Galante pizzeria in San Giorgio a Cremano, immediate eastern outskirts of the city, where Ciro and Antonio trained, first at the oven and then at the counter just as tradition dictates.
The story of the Tutino family
The story of the Tutino begins even earlier, with Giuseppe Tutino (grandfather of Ciro and Giuseppe), father of Michele who married Nunzia, who belonged to the family of the Marigliano pizzaioli, who made the “ogge a otto” pizza, that is with the credit system through which the customer could eat and pay the following week.
The concept of BRO pizzeria
The Tutino pizza is one of the purest Neapolitan tradition, without frills, “fine dough end”, offered at popular prices. At the Porta Nolana pizzeria, you can still eat the “pizza a libretto”, the most typical Neapolitan street food. With BRO the young Tutino brothers go further. Firmly rooted in tradition, they aim to offer a contemporary pizza – light in the dough, high quality for toppings and selection of raw materials – in a warm and welcoming environment, cared for in every detail: tables have Calacatta gold marble tops with brass inserts and light ochre yellow velvet armchairs.
The menu includes 15 pizzas, from traditional to the most innovative, the result of original recipes by Ciro Tutino, and the classic Neapolitan fried foods. A wide range of Italian and foreign beers and a thoughtfully curated wine list, giving space to historic Campanian vineyards and some national references, complete the offer.
BRO Pizzeria: the name
BRO, from the English brother brother, it is a slang term used by young people to express not necessarily a blood bond, but rather a relationship of friendship, or brotherhood indeed, with those who share a passion, the same ideal, a goal.
From here comes BRO, the name of the new pizzeria of Ciro and Antonio Tutino, certainly brothers but also partners in this new adventure with two well-defined roles: Ciro is the pizzaiolo and manages the work area; Antonio is in the dining room and takes care of the welcome and table service. The BRO pizzeria is open for lunch and dinner.
