Égalité , the boulangerie at via Melzo 22 in Milan, for the most magical time of the year, offers a series of delicacies typical of French gastronomic culture: the Brioche de Noël and the Couronne du Roi, traditional festive sweets, and two Christmas Hampers, filled with specialties from beyond the Alps. Perfect ideas for an original gift or to enrich your own Christmas menus with unique and tasty options.

Ceci n’est pas un panettone
For those who are not satisfied with the usual Panettone, it’s time to try the Brioche de Noël. The shape may resemble the classic Milanese cake, but the filling inside offers an entirely new taste, thanks to its citrus aroma, notes of amaretto and rum; all enriched by candied fruit and raisins. The Brioche de Noël by Égalité is inspired by the Pain de Modane, a traditional French brioche, originally from Corsica. The long leavening process (36 hours) and the savoir-faire of the boulanger create a cake with an original flavor, capturing the typical aromas of the festive season.
Price: 500 grams 20 euros; 1 kg 35 euros

Vive le Roi!
Another original offering from across the Alps, with a truly regal flavor, is the Couronne du Roi: a dessert traditionally enjoyed during Epiphany to celebrate the arrival of the Magi.
It’s no coincidence that the soft brioche dough, flavored with orange and lemon, topped with sugar crystals and colorful candied fruit, is baked in a mold reminiscent of a crown. Irrésistible! Price: 12 euros

Égalité’s Hampers: a triumph of French flavors
For an original gift idea, Égalité’s Christmas hampers offer a sumptuous selection of sweet and savory French delicacies. Fresh from Égalité’s oven are Pain De Mie, a sandwich loaf made with stone-ground type 0 flour, and Pan Nanterre, a buttery brioche bread with a delicious crumb, baked in a wooden mold.
The organic cornichons from Burgundy, Atlantic sardines (available in both oil and rillettes), and Normandy jam are among the most appreciated specialties from beyond the Alps. For festive toasts, the hamper includes two bottles of “Chateau de Lavernette”, a biodynamic wine from the Beaujolais region of France. A final touch of Italian flair is added with Timor Arabica coffee, sourced from the legendary Giamaica roastery of Gianni Frasi.
The hampers are available in a large version (70 euros) and a small one (40 euros, with a selected assortment).
