All set for the fifth edition of Castelli DiVini, the exclusive summer event of the Wine and Flavors Road of Trentino organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Network of Castles of Trentino and the Nuovo Ensemble of Trento, scheduled during the last Fridays of the summer months.
The protagonist of the first appointment, scheduled for Friday, June 28 starting from 6:30 PM, the Castello di Segonzano, built around the early 1200s on a rocky spur controlling the road that runs through the Avisio valley: a location that today offers a magnificent view over the heroic vineyards of the Cembra Valley. In a ruinous state by the late 1400s, as documented by Dürer’s watercolors, it was partly renovated in the mid-16th century in the Renaissance style by the family of Prato, which still owns it, but after the assaults of Napoleonic troops, it was abandoned from the early 1800s and became a stone quarry for rural constructions in the surrounding area.
Despite this, the Castello di Segonzano retains an timeless charm, as guests of the first evening of Castelli DiVini will be able to attest. Admiring the spectacular panorama offered, made even more special by the light at day’s end, one can enjoy a 100% Trentino aperitif with specialties from Macelleria Paolazzi, Casearia Monti Trentini, ASTRO – Associazione Troticoltori del Trentino, Panificio Tecchiolli paired with the wines from Cembra mountain winery and Villa Corniole, the grappas from Distilleria Giacomozzi, and Acqua Levico, along with the indispensable La Trentina apples.

As dusk falls, guests can finally relax pampered by the notes of the Nuovo Ensemble of Trento, offering a concert by pianist Lorenzo Calovi performing music by F. J. Haydn, F. Chopin, C. Debussy, and F. Liszt.
The participation fee is 18 euros, including guided tour, tasting, and musical performance. The places are limited for which it is highly recommended to book by calling the number 0461 921863 or writing to info@stradavinotrentino.com. The car can be left at the Piramidi di Terra parking lot in Segonzano, where there will be the possibility to use a convenient free transfer service that will take guests to the event reception point.
The event, which is part of the provincial wine event calendar called #trentinowinefest, is organized by the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino with the support of La Trentina, APT Altopiano di Pinè e Valle di Cembra, APT Terme di Comano Dolomiti di Brenta, APT Rovereto e Vallagarina, Cembrani DOC, BIM Sarca, Comunità della Vallagarina, Comunità delle Giudicarie, Comune di Segonzano, Comune di Comano Terme and Comune di Avio.
