Back Terre di Pisa Food&Wine, the ninth edition of the trade show with product tastings and guided wine workshops, this year takes place outdoors in the central Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of October.
Terre di Pisa Food&Wine Festival, the October food and wine event, organized by the Pisa Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with trade associations, aims to spread the culture of quality food and drink of the “Terre di Pisa” with a focus on health and food safety according to the ancient dictum of Hippocrates “let food be thy medicine.”
The ninth edition of the trade show with product tastings and guided wine workshops this year stakes place outdoors in the central Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of October.
The large exhibition space will host 80 producers of food and wine from the Terre di Pisa who will be able to meet the public in person, tell their stories, offer tastings, and sell their products from the territory: cheese, cured meats, pasta, truffles, honey, chocolate, sweets and preserves, oil, wine, beer, and liqueurs.
Bars and restaurants overlooking the square will also offer “Terre di Pisa” menus and themed workshops. Local products will be the base for the preparation of original or traditional dishes paired with local wines.
The 2020 edition of Terre di Pisa Food&Wine Festival
The aperitif of Terre di Pisa: the “Nutriapero” with health benefits but also pleasing to the palate, whose recipe was developed by nutritionists from the University of Pisa.
The oil of Terre di Pisa, one of the cornerstone products of Tuscan culinary tradition, is among the stars of the event. At the Oil Bar visitors can participate in guided tastings to begin a journey of discovering the organoleptic characteristics of oils and receive suggestions on food pairings.
The chocolate will be the theme of the tasting workshops and a final public competition where participants, guided by experts, will be led to discovery culminating in celebrating the best.
At the desk of the center Nutrafood of the University of Pisa it will be possible, through a fun game, to receive information about conscious purchasing and consumption in the food sector, from fish to chocolate, from bread to fruit.
Children. The Keith Haring mural will be the backdrop for activities dedicated to the little ones. Children and teenagers will be invited to transform into young artists to tell the story of products from land and table. The activity will conclude with a tasty Terre di Pisa snack.

The Terre di Pisa Food&Wine Festival is the perfect opportunity to visit the city of Pisa and discover the territory that lies “beyond the Tower.” The main museums and tourist attractions offer promotions reserved for participants, just as the accommodations and agencies have designed specific themed stay proposals that include food and wine experiences, cultural, artistic, outdoor activities, and shopping.
