  • Sugar shaker (per zucchero a velo o glassa)

Ingredients

Ingredients for the filling

  • 125 gr poppy seeds
  • 20 gr walnut kernels
  • 30 gr raisins
  • 30 gr diced candied orange
  • 1 table spoon butter
  • 1 table spoon honey
  • 2 no eggs
  • 200 gr of icing sugar
  • 1 table spoon vodka

Ingredients for pasta

  • 200 gr 00 flour
  • 3 no eggs yolk
  • 10 gr I drink beer
  • 40 gr powdered sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 55 gr butter
  • 1 sachet vanillin

instructions

Preparation of the pasta

  • Dissolve the yeast with 25 ml of warm milk, a teaspoon of sugar and a spoonful of flour.
  • Cover and leave to rise for 15 minutes in the heat.
  • Then, whip the egg yolks with the sugar to obtain a cream.
  • Combine vanillin, flour, 75 ml of warm milk, yeast and butter (loose and left to cool).
  • After obtaining a smooth and elastic dough, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for a couple.

Preparation of the filling

  • In the meantime, it is possible to dedicate yourself to the filling: first, put the poppy seeds in a bowl covered with boiling water and let them rest with a cover for half an hour.
  • After draining and squeezed, blend them and add crumbled walnuts, raisins, candied orange cubes, butter (melted and left to cool), vodka.
  • Whip the yolks with the icing sugar and also whip the egg whites until stiff.
  • Then add everything to get the filling.

Assemble

  • Then spread the dough once leavened, then cover it with the filling leaving a frame of a couple of cm.
  • Roll and put on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, with the closure down.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and still leave to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake in the oven at 180 ° for 45 minutes.
  • Decorate at will with candied fruit, sugar glaze and poppy seeds.
