Carnival ribbons are one of the traditional sweets of the period. In this recipe, Carnival ribbons are presented with traditional ingredients.

Ingredients
- 250 gr Type 0 Flour
- 2 nr Eggs
- 1 noce Butter
- 1/2 cucchiaio Sugar
- 1 cucchiaio White Wine
- 1 pizzico Salt
- Sunflower Seed Oil for frying or lard
- Powdered Sugar for desserts
Instructions
- Melt the butter over low heat.
- Place the flour in a fountain shape and put the other ingredients in the center: butter, whole eggs, white wine, and sugar.
- Beat the ingredients and, when the dough has firmed up a bit, work it with your hands kneading for about ten minutes until it becomes soft.
- Gather into a ball, place in a floured bowl, cover with a folded towel, and let rest for about an hour.
- After this time, lightly flour the work surface, divide the ball into two pieces, and roll out to a thickness of 2-3 mm with a rolling pin.
- Use the fluted wheel to cut strips about two centimeters wide that you can knot loosely in the center.
- Fill half of the pan with oil and when hot, fry two or three fritters at a time, browning them for two minutes per side.
- Drain, place on a double sheet of absorbent paper, and when all are ready and slightly cooled, dust generously with powdered sugar.
