  • Sieve o spargizucchero (per lo zucchero a velo)

Ingredients

For the filling

  • 500 gr chestnuts boiled and reduced to flour
  • 300 gr sugar
  • 200 gr water
  • 100 gr Maraschino liqueur or Strega Liqueur
  • 40 gr Bitter Cocoa or dark chocolate
  • 1 sachet Vanillin

For the dough

  • 1 kg Flour
  • 2 no eggs
  • 50 gr Butter
  • to taste Vermouth liqueur
  • pinch salt

For garnish

  • to taste Honey
  • to taste Powdered sugar

instructions

Puff pastry

  • Pour the flour to Fontana and get it with all the ingredients in order to prepare a puff pastry.
  • We form a ball with the dough and let them rest for about 30 minutes.

Stuffed

  • In a pan or a pignatta, we boil the chestnuts.
  • After cooking, we push and pass them in the crushed crushed to reduce the pulp in a flour that we put in a bowl with all the other ingredients.
  • We mix everything, adding all the ingredients.
  • With the rolling pin we spread the flat in order to make a not too thin sheet.
  • With a spoon we add a little filling; Then with the pasta we form a raviolo, sealing the edges with the fingers or a fork.

  • At this point the bocconotti must be fried in plenty of hot oil until it is competed golden.

  • Before serving them, hot or cold, we melt about honey (traditional method) or dust them with icing sugar.

Notes

The Lucanian bocconotti are not very large unlike those of other regions of the South. Another feature is the filling with chestnuts, classic of the Lucanian tradition.
The bocconotti are stuffed sweets spread in the south, especially in the Christmas period, which differ precisely depending on the filling and form.

      I bocconotti lucani con castagne sono davvero dei dolcetti deliziosi, perfetti per un momento di dolcezza o per concludere in bellezza un pasto. La combinazione del gusto ricco delle castagne con la friabilità della pasta è davvero irresistibile. Mi piacerebbe conoscere la ricetta che hai utilizzato per prepararli. Hai usato la nostra ricetta tradizionale tramandata di generazione in generazione oppure hai trovato una ricetta online? C’è qualche trucco o segreto per renderli ancora più buoni?
