Nestled among the new skyscrapers of the Central District, located just a few steps from the futuristic Piazza Gae Aulenti, the iconic Vertical Forest, and the Central Station, the Restaurant Rivington is located inside the Hyatt Centric Milan Centrale.
It is a true corner of the Big Apple in the Lombardy capital with one of the most breathtaking views of the city: the Porta Nuova skyscrapers framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows of the venue. This is the new bet of the Hyatt Centric Milan Centrale, the hotel that winks at fashion and design, already known for its panoramic and very popular rooftop, ORGANICS SkyGarden. Rivington promises great emotions on a 100% NYC-made culinary and sensory journey, inspired by the historic restaurants of Manhattan.
A jazzy atmosphere, candlelight, portraits of Italian-American personalities who helped make New York great, and a view overlooking the sparkling lights of the skyscrapers create an intimate environment with a retro allure.
The philosophy of Rivington, led by Chef Guglielmo Giudice, is based on New York tradition dishes and their bold flavors embodied in a wide menu of classic and iconic dishes revisited with a modern twist. Notable offerings include raw dishes from the Raw Bar and the famous “Oyster Rockefeller,” steamed oysters served with spinach and creamy pecorino cheese; the “Waldorf” salad, revisited with the addition of gorgonzola; and the steak tartare prepared at the table. The mains are inspired by the old New York chophouses where you can enjoy the typical “Surf & Turf” (filet mignon paired with lobster), a hearty NY Striploin, or a classic Dover Sole “à la meunière.” Lastly, not to be missed is the “Vanderbilt” burger, a tribute and synthesis of the most famous cheeseburgers.
The desserts are interpretations of mid-century classics, such as the iconic New York style cheesecake.
Great attention is given to the cocktail menu which, as per New York tradition, marks the start of any important meal… after all, a perfectly crafted Martini is the promise of a perfect evening!
Rivington was conceived in collaboration with Jeffrey Tascarella, a renowned New York hotel entrepreneur who successfully opened iconic New York venues such as the award-winning NoMad and the Italian restaurant Scarpetta.

Tascarella, along with partner Chris Lowder – one of the world’s most sought-after and awarded consultants in the high-end bar sector – worked hand in hand with Chef Giudice, first in Milan and then in Manhattan, to bring to Rivington the full authenticity of New York cuisine.
The dining room is managed by Luca Soldovilla who, under the supervision of F&B Manager Matteo Rube, will coordinate the entire team with an old school: service style: from preparing the typical “Hudson Steak Tartare” and “Dover Sole” directly at the table, to cocktails mixed and served in front of guests.
Andrea Pallavicini, General Manager of Hyatt Centric Milan Centrale, states: “We intended to bring something new to Milan. A truly New York-style restaurant with refined cuisine characterized by the highest quality products. The name “Rivington” comes from Rivington Street, in the Lower East Side where many Italian immigrants began their new life. The neighborhood later became famous as an artistic and musical scene, particularly as the birthplace of American punk and new-wave music.
To bring a bit of New York to Milan, we relied on the expertise of Lowder-Tascarella Hospitality through which we tried to capture the essence of what truly makes a culinary experience unique in the heart of Manhattan: and that is how Rivington was born.”
The entrance to Rivington is at Via G.B. Pirelli 20. Customers access it via a dedicated elevator that catapults them into the heart of Manhattan.
Rivington is open every evening from 7:30 p.m. Info and reservations: 348 968 7419
