Ingredients

  • 240 gr Rice
  • 1 kg Peas fresh
  • 50 gr Raw ham one slice
  • tbsp Olive oil
  • q.b. Butter
  • 1 pcs Onion
  • 1 tsp Mint leaves
  • 1, 2 liters Vegetable broth
  • q.b. Salt
  • q.b. Pepper

Instructions

  • Bring the vegetable broth to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, shell the peas.
  • Peel the onion and slice it.
  • In a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil, and sauté the onion and diced ham.
  • Add the peas, then add the rice.
  • Cook by gradually pouring in the broth, as for a very creamy risotto.
  • Season with salt (pepper to taste) and add the mint 5 minutes before cooking finishes.
  • Add the remaining oil and stir in a little butter (optional).
  • Mix and serve at the table.

Notes

If you prefer a drier dish, add less broth.
